The Peak

Today we visited The Peak which offers the most spectacular view of Hong Kong. We first had to get the Star Ferry from Kowloon (where we are) to Hong Kong Island which was great fun in itself. To get to the Peak, we got the tram - actually a funicular railway - which involves the steepest journey ever. Worth it though. Lunch at the famous Cafe Deco which offers similar great views and great food in Deco surroundings.

Thought we'd have a leisurely afternoon and make use of our hotel facilities for a change. This entailed first a swim in the fab pool (complete with yet more city views) then, rather less healthily, High Tea - the absolute works.

Had a glass of champagne in the bar at Felix (Philippe Starck designed - we'll be hearing more of him as the holiday goes on) on the 29th Floor (yes, floor to ceiling harbour view included). Booked a table at the restaurant at Felix where we'll be off to shortly.
