Must recommend Business Class. Instead of the usual great unwashed and screaming weans, you get Euroc***s and posh burds with food allergies. Great. Actually the food and service (BA) was excellent, like being in a restaurant at times. Nice also to get our first cocktails of the holiday before touching down.
Arrived in good time at our hotel, the Peninsula. Amazing view of the city from our room (we'll post a photo when it's light). Went out a wander and for a bite to eat, managing to avoid the usual tourist traps and found a downstairs place much favoured by locals. Amazing food, the much touted hotel restaurants we plan to eat in the next couple of nights will need to go some to beat it. Cocktail in the, er, cocktail bar, now back in room planning next day's trip and admiring the view.
Only problem now is that it's bedtime and we're not that tired (hence the shock early blogging activity). Our Sky bed last night was so bloody comfy that we actually had a good night's sleep. On a plane. Weird.
